Anne is a girl that faces tough life situations with enthusiasm. Always maintaining a positive attitude, even when she is shipped from guardian to guardian, Anne has many of the attributes of an Aries. She is willing to speak her mind when she thinks that something is unfair, and she is very devoted to her loved ones.
2. Taurus - Jo March (Little Women by Louisa May Alcott)
Stubborn is the perfect word to describe Jo (Little Women) and any true Taurus. Like Jo, Taurus’ tend to stick to their beliefs and not back down. While they may not be afraid of conflict, Taurus’ are also quite warm. While Jo has strong opinions, she also has a soft spot for those she cares about.
3. Gemini - Emma Woodhouse (Emma by Jane Austen)
“Handsome, Clever, and Rich”. This is how Jane Austen describes her heroine Emma in the book by the same name. Like Emma, Gemini’s are quick thinkers that are also quite observant. (even if those observations can be slightly skewed) While Emma might come off as vain or spoiled, there is more to her that meets the eye. Like a true Gemini, she knows her own heart and feels deeply.
4. Cancer - Janie Crawford (Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston)
Like Janie Crawford, Cancers can be hopeless romantics. While they can also be sensitive and emotional, Cancers are also strong. Janie goes through three marriages to find true love. It is not until she faces several tragedies that she finds strength within herself and learns that love can always help in the end.
5. Leo - Anna Karenina (Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy)
Leos like to do everything in big ways. Like Anna, they know how to be the center of attention in everything they do. Anna can be quite dramatic, and she can sometimes be viewed as self-centered. Despite these characteristics, Anna, like many Leos, radiates energy that will be remembered.
6. Virgo - Hermione Granger (Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling)
Considering that she was literally born on the 19th of September, Hermione exemplifies all the characteristics of a Virgo. Like a Virgo, Hermione can adapt to information quickly, and she settles for nothing less than perfection. While she does have high standards, that does not mean that she can’t enjoy herself with her friends.
7. Libra - Jane Eyre (Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte)
The sign of the scales may be known for indecision, but Jane Eyre is a character that represents the diplomatic nature of Libras. Like Jane, Libras have a passion for fair treatment, and they will not rest until things are balanced. Jane is also a character that can be a charismatic socialite when the occasion arises.
8. Scorpio - Catherine Earnshaw (Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte)
As one of the most passionate heroines in literature, it makes sense that Catherine is part of the most passionate zodiac sign. Like a Scorpio, Catherine is very intense and dramatic when it comes to relationships. Her love is all consuming. Moderation is not something that Catherine, or any Scorpio, recognizes.
9. Sagittarius - Dorothea Brooke (Middlemarch by George Eliot)
Unlike many heroines led by romance, Dorothea is someone that is led by her desire to make the world better. The progressive views held by Dorothea are purely Sagittarian, and her optimism and adventurous nature are also characteristics of the sign. Although, like Dorothea, Sagittarius’ might be a little judgemental of those that do not measure up to their standards.
10. Capricorn - Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew Series by Carolyn Keene)
Nancy is an independent, well-spoken, and intelligent teenager. Like most Capricorns, she is very goal oriented. She also knows the most efficient ways of solving each of her mysteries. There is rarely a situation that Nancy, and many Capricorns, can’t solve once they put their mind to it.
11. Aquarius - Scout Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee)
With a strong sense of right and wrong and a passion for doing good, Scout represents many of the good qualities of an Aquarius. Known for their progressive nature and independence, Aquarius’ would know which side of an argument to be on. Scout is also a character that can be stubborn, much like an Aquarius.
