A Dive Into Being Eco-Friendly and Why It’s Important

Trying to switch to an eco-friendly lifestyle may be hard, but it is worth it. The term “eco-friendly” literally means environmentally friendly. We only have one Earth, so let’s be nice to it! Knowing you can make a difference just by switching to some sustainable products that are the same or even better than non-sustainable products will make you feel so good. We only have one Earth, so let’s be nice to it!

Reusable and eco-friendly products are so much better for the environment than single use plastic products. They help reduce our environmental and carbon footprint, and can be recycled and reused.  Eco-friendly products can potentially be more expensive, but they are worth it. A few eco-friendly products you can switch to immediately that are not super expensive are stainless steel water bottles and straws, bamboo cutlery, reusable shopping bags, recycled toilet paper, recycled aluminum foil, beeswax wrap, a bamboo toothbrush, and reusable cotton pads.

According to Sustainability Chic, there are many eco-friendly brands that you can purchase at Target. Who doesn’t love Target? Some of these brands include: Native, HeyHumans, Reel Toilet Paper, Matter, Stasher, and West Paw, which produce recycled dog toys! Now your dog can help out the planet too!

Something else you can do to help reuse products is going thrifting or shopping second hand. I personally have found some of my favorite clothing items and room decor at the thrift store. Shop ethically and sustainably. There are thrift stores everywhere you go!

It is also very important to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Don’t litter. Why trash this beautiful place we live in? Most places have recycling bins for plastic bottles and cans. Recycle as much as you can because the products will be put to use. Recycled plastic is used to make things like toys, bottles, tumblers, and so much more!
