The Dyson: Is It Worth It?

The Dyson: Is It Worth It?

Before purchasing the Dyson, if someone told me that a $600 blowdryer was worth it, I’d call them crazy. The Dyson Airwrap is easy to dismiss as to both pricey and overhyped. However, I use mine almost every single day. I spent years trying to find a tool that worked best with my hair, and it all lead to failure. But then, the magical Dyson Airwrap came out. I know it’s really expensive, but trust me, it’s so worth it. I’d rather give up any designer bags or makeup, just to have my Dyson Airwrap. This tool comes everywhere with me... everywhere.

What’s so special about it?
Well, the Dyson Airwrap has many unique features. The gadget is propelled by Dyson's digital motor V9, which can spin at speeds of up to 110,000 revolutions per minute. But that's not all: the Airwrap has sophisticated heat regulation, which means it measures its own temperature more than 40 times per minute to maintain it below 302 degrees and prevent heat damage.

Finding tools that prevent damage to your hair is vital. Luckily, I‘ve never colored my hair, so mine isn’t damaged already. But, lots of people color their hair, and I know constantly curling or straightening it can turn your hair into a hot mess. The Dyson Airwrap is a more expensive, but better option for your hair.

How do I use the Dyson Airwrap?
There are infinite ways to use the Dyson Airwrap. Whatever aesthetic you're looking for, an Airwrap attachment is available for it. Straighten hair with a strong smoothing brush or a soft smooth brush, then use the bigger curling barrels to produce waves and body, or the smaller curling barrels to create beachy waves.

The Dyson may seem intimidating and confusing at first, but don’t give up! Watch videos on Youtube or even TikTok for some inspiration and hacks on styling your hair with the Airwrap.

*REMINDER: even though the Dyson is better for your hair, you should still use a heat protectant before using any attachment.

Listen, I know it’s insanely expensive, and most people do not have $600 laying around to spend on a hair tool! So, if you really want your hair to have “ The Dyson look”, here are some cheaper dupes that I would highly recommend:
