Charli XCX Takes The Stage By Storm At The Grammys, Delivering A Mini Rave
Charli XCX dropped her electronic album Brat on June 7, 2024, unaware of just how massive its impact would become. Within weeks, it was clear that Brat was more than just an album: it was a cultural movement.
The album blew up on social media platforms last summer, with fans dubbing it their 'Brat Summer.' As the seasons changed, Brat Summer transformed into Brat Fall, and now, with three Grammy wins, it's officially the year of the Brat.
Charli XCX received a whopping eight nominations at the 67 Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 2, 2025.
Best Music Video – 360
Best Pop Solo Performance – Apple
Record of The Year – 360
Album of The Year – Brat
Best Recording Package – Brat
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance – Guess
Best Dance/Electronic Album – Brat
Best Dance Pop Recording – Von Dutch
Charli XCX triumphed with three out of the eight awards, claiming honors for Best Dance Pop Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package. Finn Keane, producer of Von Dutch, accepted the award for Best Dance Pop Recording.
“I want to thank Charli for being an amazing collaborator,” Keane said in his acceptance speech. “She has been making this kind of music for, like, 10 years and everybody’s kind of caught up to it and realized what she can do.”
The Grammy Performance
Charli XCX was the final performer of the night performed, and performed hit songs Guess and Von Dutch, the song that won her the Grammy for Best Dance Pop Recording.
With over twenty dancers and dazzling strobe lights, Charli transformed the 67th Annual Grammy Awards into an electrifying mini rave!
Charli’s Grammy performance was videotaped and posted online by Jorge, YouTube user @repentatnightofficial, who has over 1,870 subscribers. YouTube user @watermelonzzz-z9s commented, “SHE ATE SO HARD.”
To wrap up the event, a message flashed across the screen announcing that all unused underwear would be donated. Thanks to the generous support of Victoria’s Secret and PINK, more than 10,000 pairs of panties were donated to the I Support The Girls foundation.
Victoria's Secret’s official Instagram account (@victoriasecret) posted a photo about Charli’s Grammy performance. The caption reads, “Fangirling over Charli XCX’s Grammy performance? Us too!
