Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Lil Baby, and More Set to Perform at FireAid Benefit Concert on Jan. 30

On Jan. 30, a highly anticipated benefit concert will be held to raise support for those impacted by the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

Since the start of the new year, the wildfires sweeping through the Greater Los Angeles area have destroyed thousands of homes, businesses, and schools.

The benefit concert promises a night of music, solidarity, and hope, with two venues hosting performances from some of your favorite artists.

The nonprofit concert is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m., with tickets becoming available for purchase on Jan. 22 at noon PST. The concert will take place at the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum, two iconic venues in the heart of Los Angeles.

The official Instagram account for the event, @fireaidla, posted a photo about the details of the event. The caption of the post reads:

“Two venues. One night. Your favorite artists coming together for music & solidarity. Shows start at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale January 22nd at noon PST. Donations can be made via the link in our bio. Stay tuned for more artist announcements in the coming days.”

The caption also includes important details about how the funds will be used, with all contributions directed to the FireAid 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

“Contributions made to FireAid 501(c)(3) in connection with the FireAid benefit concert and other direct donations will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation and will be allocated to short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters throughout California.”

As of Jan. 19, the full list of artists confirmed to perform at the benefit concert includes a lineup of iconic musicians and chart-topping stars. The current roster features:

Anderson .Paak, Alanis Morissette, Billie Eilish, Dave Matthews & John Mayer, Dawes, Earth, Wind & Fire, Graham Nash, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, No Doubt, Olivia Rodrigo, P!nk, Peso Pluma, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Tate McRae, and The Black Crowes.

According to @fireaidla, specific artist lineups for each venue will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Peso Pluma was confirmed on Jan. 19 as the latest artist to join the benefit concert.

Fans are eagerly awaiting additional artist announcements, with more musicians being added to the lineup daily since the concert's announcement. For real-time updates and further details, follow @fireaidla on Instagram.

Mixed Reactions on Social Media

The concert's announcement has sparked excitement among fans and supporters of the cause. However, it has also raised some concerns, particularly regarding the impact on local accommodations.

In the comments section of @fireaidla’s announcement post, some Instagram users have raised concerns about the potential strain the event could put on local hotels and Airbnbs.

One user, @jmfstopimages, commented, “This is such a great thing to do, but when it’s not just televised or limited to local residents, this is going to potentially bring in non-local attendees that could take hotels and other lodging options away from the locals that need it.”

Another user, @paigekennellyy, shared a similar sentiment, commenting, “Honestly I’m conflicted because hotels/airbnbs should be saved for people who are displaced from the fire, not people from out of town coming to watch the concert.”

However, not everyone agreed with these concerns. @somanycloudz commented, “Can people just appreciate the benefit and stop trying to find all the flaws, real or perceived? Exhausting,” defending the event.

While there is valid debate over logistical concerns, the heart of the event remains focused on providing support and raising funds for the victims of the fires.

How You Can Help LA Fire Relief

For those unable to attend the concert in person, donations can be made via the link in the event’s Instagram bio. All funds will be used to support immediate relief efforts as well as long-term initiatives to help prevent future wildfires in California.
